Nimmitabel Preschool was founded in 1976 by a dedicated group of local women. The Preschool is a community-owned, not-for-profit service, and is managed by a committee of volunteers, most of whom are parents.

At Nimmitabel Preschool, our goal is to provide all children with a rich, supportive and hands-on learning environment. Our preschool is at its heart responsive to individual needs, strengths and interests. We aim to stimulate and challenge learning through the provision of open-ended, sensory and play-based experiences in an environment that reflects authentic, reciprocal and meaningful relationships with children, families and the community. We are invested in whole child development. We believe that children reach their full potential when they are viewed as competent and capable individuals who have a voice in their own learning.
